After breakfast, continue east to North Sydney, where you’ll board a scenic 7-hour ferry crossing to Port aux Basques, Newfoundland. Today’s travels take you to Twillingate to visit Prime Berth Twillingate Fishery & Heritage Centre, a private interpretative fishing centre and craft studio created by David Boyd as a tribute to his family’s generations of fishermen. Tour through seven different buildings, including a 100+ year old fish store and net loft, touch two different Sei whale skeletons, learn how to split cod, and more! Then, grab your ugly stick and master this iconic Newfoundland instrument during a shed party. This long-standing tradition will have you dancing, singing, and laughing. On your way to Clarenville, stop at the Gander Airport, then travel through picturesque villages to arrive in Clarenville.

The 14-day coach/fly tour offers guests the opportunity to enjoy the drive to the East Coast and includes a flight home from St. John's, NL.
The 10-day fly tour starts in Deer Lake, NL, and concludes in St. John's, NL. Round trip airfare from Toronto (YYZ) is included. Other flight arrangements can be made for guests coming from anywhere in the world, and the price will be adjusted accordingly. This is a fast-paced tour, designed to showcase the best of Newfoundland in a short timespan.
This itinerary features several boat cruises. While most guests won’t need any medication, those prone to motion sickness may want to bring along remedies just in case.
The weather in Newfoundland varies from day to day and can be cool and windy, even in the summer.
Tablelands Trail Hike
This is a moderate walk on a gentle trail with a packed but uneven surface. The walking distance 1-3km does not provide a place to rest, and there is some standing while listening to the local guide, as the unique geology of this area is explained.
Western Brook Pond Boat Tour
The walk to the Western Brook Pond Boat Tour is along a moderate 3 km trail (approx. 45 min walk each way) that leads from the parking lot down to the dock.
