    Famous Sites & Hidden Gems

    See the famous Plymouth Rock, explore the historic Plymouth harbourfront, go whale watching or dune buggy riding. Hyannisport was a much-loved place of retreat for the Kennedys, and see the mansions of Newport,  built for the rich and famous of yesteryear.

  • Day-to-Day Itinerary

    Day 1:  Albany, NY

    Sit back, relax, and enjoy the fall colours of southwestern Ontario as your journey to Cape Cod begins. There will be a break for lunch and to stretch your legs before arriving at our hotel in Albany.  Enjoy an included dinner where you can get to know your fellow travellers.

    Stay: Holiday Inn Express, Albany, NY (1 night)

    Day 2: Plymouth & Cape Cod, MA

    After breakfast, the journey continues to Plymouth, MA, arriving in time for lunch.  View Plymouth Rock, and explore the historic and picturesque Plymouth harbourfront.  Then it’s back on the coach to continue the drive to the Cape.  Arrive at the Red Jacket Beach Resort and be welcomed with a wine and cheese reception before dinner.

    Stay: Red Jacket Inn, South Yarmouth, MA (3 nights)

    Day 3: Lower Cape” Tour and Adventures

    “The Lower Cape” is towards the outer tip of Cape Cod.  This is an area of quaint villages, old family cottages with stunning purple and blue hydrangeas, sand dunes, and lighthouses. In the morning, a local guide will provide insights into the Chatham area, including a visit to the Chatham Lighthouse. After enjoying lunch in Provincetown, choose your afternoon adventure:  either a whale-watching cruise or a Suburban Dune Buggy Ride.

    Day 4: “Mid Cape” Tour of Hyannis, Lobster Dinner

    Hyannis buzzes with coastal charm, while nearby Hyannis Port is rich in history. Enjoy a guided tour featuring Saint Francis Xavier Church, the JFK Memorial, and the JFK Museum, along with time for a self-guided visit to the Sandwich Glass Museum. In the afternoon, unwind and take advantage of the resort’s amenities before ending the day with a classic lobster dinner.

    Day 5: Newport Tour and Cruise

    This morning, depart Cape Cod for Rhode Island, where a local guide joins us to share insights during a tour of historic Newport. While passing several of the city’s famed mansions, enjoy a self-guided visit inside the iconic Breakers Mansion. In the afternoon, take in Newport from the water on a scenic cruise through Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay, passing highlights such as the Newport Yacht Club, Jacqueline Kennedy’s summer home, the Newport Bridge, and the Rock House.

    Day 6: Stockbridge & Norman Rockwell Museum

    Today, begin the journey home with a stop in Stockbridge, MA. Nestled in the Berkshires, this charming town offers inviting boutiques, gift shops, and a variety of appealing lunch spots to explore at leisure. The afternoon continues with a guided tour of the Norman Rockwell Museum. From there, it’s a short drive to the hotel in Syracuse, followed by check-in and a group farewell dinner.

    Day 7: Travel Home

    After breakfast, visit the Corning Glass Museum, the world’s largest space dedicated to the history, art, and science of glass. Take a self-guided tour through the exhibits and even see a live hot glass demo (schedule permitting). After lunch (on your own), cross the border and bid farewell to your fellow travellers, marking the end of a memorable journey.

    A sweater or light jacket and a portable umbrella are always a good idea. Don’t forget a sun hat, sunglasses, sunblock, and most importantly, your camera!
