St. Pete Beach enjoys a mild and generally sunny Gulf Coast climate in late January and February, with comfortable daytime temperatures and cooler evenings. Gentle breezes from the Gulf of Mexico add to the relaxed coastal atmosphere, so packing a light jacket or sweater is recommended for evenings and breezier days.

Arm bands are included in your welcome package and must be worn while at the resort. These bands also allow use of all amenities at the Island Grand, a sister TradeWinds property. 

The Tradewinds properties are cashless.

A valid passport is required.

While outside of Canada, U.S. currency is used although credit cards are widely accepted. It is recommended to carry a small amount of U.S. cash for tips and smaller purchases.

Please note that for our St. Pete Beach Long Stay packages, the payment and cancellation policies are the same as for trips that include a flight or a cruise.

The Dali Museum

The Dali Museum has a collection of over 2,400 Salvador Dali works includes 200 drawings and watercolours, 96 oil paintings, photographs, sculptures and over 2,100 prints to create a surrealist lover’s dreamscape. Yann Weymouth designed the awe-inspiring building in which Dali’s works are housed. An architectural masterpiece, it features a free form glass bubble bursting up from hurricane-proof walls and is the perfect twenty-first century homage to the original dome of the Dali museum in Spain. This magical museum has a helical floating staircase, The Fountain of Youth and the spectacular Mathematical Gardens. It simply is one of St Pete’s most outstanding museums.

The James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art

Thomas and Mary James shared their love of Western and wildlife art with the city of St. Petersburg by donating their enormous private collection of contemporary and traditional western art to the community. The James Museum is another hot spot to add to your cultural adventure while in the St. Pete area.

The Morean Arts Center

The Morean Arts Center is a museum that has made an immense contribution to the local culture by way of workshops and experiences, classes, and fabulous exhibits like the one-and-only Chihuly Collection. For four decades Dale Chihuly, master glass sculptor, has pushed the boundaries of contemporary art. His work is absolutely breathtaking with bold colours and that wow-factor that will inspire your imagination. You will not believe your eyes!

Tarpon Springs

Along the shore of the Gulf of Mexico, Tarpon Springs was named for the fish found in abundance in nearby waters. It blends the moods of Victorian-era Florida, small-town America and – most of all – the vibrant character of its Greek heritage. It is known for its 51 miles of alluring waterfront and as the "sponge capital of the world". The charming downtown center is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors to the Historic District can stroll along brick streets while browsing in art galleries, antiques stores, and specialty shops housed in buildings dating from the late 1800s.

Dunedin

Dunedin is well known for its annual Scottish celebrations and its quaint downtown, among its other charms. One of the oldest towns on the West Coast of Florida, Dunedin has a wooded and subtropical setting with almost four miles of picturesque waterfront. Its relaxed lifestyle and activities for all likes and ages make Dunedin a truly delightful place to visit. If you’re a baseball fan, don’t forget that the Florida Grapefruit League treats fans to games across the state during February and March spring training, and Dunedin is home for the Toronto Blue Jays. It just might be possible to attend a game or two!
