| New Day-trips in Daytona are Great! |

My mother and I travel together every November to Daytona Beach. We have been going down now for the past 15 years and look forward to our time as the Nautilus feels like our second home. All of the staff make us feel like we have arrived home and are very helpful.
In November of 2008, there were some new day-trips offered which I went on and thoroughly enjoyed. One trip that I went on was to Mount Dora, and we were the first group that Larry took there. It was one of the best side trips that I have ever been on! We went on a trolley ride through the town to learn its history and then went on a 2-hour boat ride through the Dora canal. What a beautiful place!!
The weather was perfect and there was so much wild life to see. I took a picture of an alligator and turtle sitting on a log in the canal and sent it to the weather network for the international photo gallery, and it is still on there, even as I am writing this!
The second day-trip we took was to Gamble Place and we got some nice pictures of the boat trip on Sugar Creek. I was hoping to see a manatee but no such luck. Regardless, this tour was very interesting as there was a lot of history to see there.
The last night of our trip, lift off of the space shuttle took place and the sky was clear. We had a great view from down on the beach and it was a beautiful sight.
All in all, we had a wonderful time and I am already booked for November 2009, but unfortunately will not have my mother with me this year. I know that I will enjoy myself even though I will be alone, as I have made so many friends throughout the years at the Nautilus.
Thanks so much for providing such a wonderful place to stay!
